The service is offered free of charge without requiring account registration, subscriptions, or login credentials.
3. Document Ownership & Intellectual Property
You retain 100% ownership, copyright, and title to any PDF documents you process using Kompres PDF.
We do not claim any proprietary rights or ownership of your files. Because processing occurs entirely on your device, we never acquire custody or possession of your documents.
4. User Responsibilities & Conduct
When utilizing our service, you agree that you are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring you hold all necessary authorizations, licenses, and legal rights to compress and modify the documents you input.
- Verifying the visual fidelity, readability, and content completeness of any compressed output before submitting it for official, legal, academic, or commercial purposes.
- Maintaining backup copies of your original, uncompressed files. Kompres PDF does not store or back up files.
- Complying with all applicable local, national, and international laws regarding document handling and data protection.
5. Prohibited Uses
You must not use Kompres PDF to:
- Transmit, inject, or process files containing malware, viruses, worms, or malicious code designed to harm computer systems.
- Engage in denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, automated scraping, or actions that place an unreasonable or disproportionate load on our web infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code in violation of applicable open-source or proprietary licenses.

6. Technical Limitations & Compression Results
Compression ratios depend heavily on the internal composition of each PDF file (e.g., raster images, embedded font subsets, vector graphics). Scanned documents generally achieve higher reduction ratios than purely textual documents.
When using target-size compression (e.g., 'Compress to 200 KB'), our algorithms make reasonable technical attempts to reach the requested threshold without exceeding image degradation limits. However, we cannot guarantee that every file can physically reach a specific target size.
Processing performance is bounded by your device's hardware specifications (CPU and available RAM). Extremely large files may experience longer processing times or memory limits imposed by your browser.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
