Privacy Rights & Data Requests
We believe in complete transparency and empower you to exercise your global privacy rights easily and securely.
1. Important: What Data Exists on Our Servers?
Before submitting a data deletion or access request, please review our technical architecture:
No PDF Files on Server: Because Kompres PDF performs all file analysis and compression locally inside your browser, we do not receive, store, or archive your documents on our servers. There are zero user documents to retrieve or delete.
No User Accounts: We do not maintain profiles, passwords, or personal account databases.
Potential Data: The only personal data we might hold is previous email communications if you contacted our support team, or transient edge network log entries retained by our CDN provider (Cloudflare) for security auditing.
Zero Document Retention
You do not need to request deletion of your compressed PDFs — they were never saved to our servers in the first place.
2. How to Submit a Privacy Request
To exercise your rights under the GDPR (Articles 15-22), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), or India DPDP Act, please email our privacy team at: [Privacy Contact Email - See Configuration]
Please include the following details in your message:
- Subject Line: 'Data Privacy Request — [Your Name]'
- The specific right you wish to exercise (e.g. Access, Deletion, Information, Consent Revocation)
- The email address you used when contacting us previously (if applicable)
- Your approximate jurisdiction (e.g. EU/EEA, UK, California, India, Other) to help us apply the appropriate statutory framework
3. Verification & Response Timelines
Verification: To prevent unauthorized disclosures, we may need to verify your identity before processing requests involving personal communication records.
Response Time: We will respond to verified requests within 30 days (or 45 days where permitted under CCPA), free of charge.
